The Children's Center offers year round care. Participation may be summer or school year only, or year round. During the summer, beginning when school is out and ending when school opens the Center takes many field trips including visits to an area pool, Catoctin Zoo, movies, regional parks, plays in Baker Park, Fountain Rock Nature Center, ice cream trips, pizza trips, and trips to local businesses. Activities in the summer include arts and crafts, the very popular carnival organized and carried out by school age children for preschoolers, and many guest visitors. School age children attending the Center in the summer may also participate in a week long Bible Camp and a Music/Dance Camp at no extra cost.
